Auditions for Northwest ISD’s 2022-2023 districtwide middle school musical, “Willy Wonka Jr.,” will take place digitally this year, and all incoming sixth- through eighth-grade students are eligible to audition.
Students interested in auditioning will need to record video of themselves performing their two memorized selections, which they will then upload on the musical’s website. Auditions must be uploaded by Saturday, April 30. For specific information about the rehearsal process, click here.
Rehearsals for the play will begin on July 25 and run through September 7. Individuals on the technical crew will begin rehearsing on August 22. Their combined work will culminate with four shows across September 8 to 10.

Students were caught horsin' around during day one of Third Grade Field Day at the NISD Kelly W. Box Agricultural Science Center!
The three-day event provides third-grade students from across the district the opportunity to visit the agricultural center and learn about various aspects of agricultural science.
Each Future Farmers of America (FFA) program representing the district’s three comprehensive high schools — Byron Nelson, Northwest and V.R. Eaton — hosts a day and leads their feeder pattern schools around the facilities.
Students move by class through nine different stations, learning about agricultural topics including small animal wildlife, outdoor recreation and safety, equine, horticulture and entomology, sheep and goats, Texas crops, beef cattle and swine.
Northwest ISD’s FFA program has been hosting Third Grade Field Day for the past 23 years.
